Thanks for the posting. The “What do you do?” has always been a challenge (dread) for me until I repositioned it in my head. I turned it around from a challenge to define me at a moment in time (like now, it’s not the best of times in travel) to an opportunity to engage in who I’ve been along the timeline of life. I realized I have a portfolio of “What do I do.” I realized I do not have to define myself in the moment (especially during a global pandemic). The question “What do you do,” allows me to pick and choose moments to share on my terms. Very therapeutic and also engaging opportunities to involve others into fun and uplifting conversation.
